"Embracing My Hidden Sorrows" is an illustrative and interactive storybook that explores navigating through hopelessness and finding self-acceptance. This was my BFA graphic design senior thesis project. This was a semester-long project to end-off my intense 2 year program at San Jose State University. This project was full of dedicated research, illustration, and craftsmanship. The storyline is loosely based off of my personal experiences growing up, my main goal of this thesis was to connect to others who may have experienced similar occurrences and to advocate for mental health.
